The Challenge
The client required a comprehensive electrical installation, including small power solutions and emergency lighting, to enhance the functionality and safety of their unit. The project involved the installation of additional power outlets, dedicated circuits for security systems, and high-performance LED lighting. Compliance with emergency lighting standards was also a key requirement.
The Solution
Our team provided a tailored electrical solution that included:
- Installation of three metal-clad twin switched socket outlets mounted on a plyboard backing and connected to a dedicated circuit with a 20A-rated RCBO.
- A dedicated unswitched fuse spur for the intruder alarm to ensure continuous operation.
- Installation of illuminated overdoor emergency exit signs at all three doors and anti-panic emergency lights at high level to meet the required 0.5 lux lighting standard.
- Implementation of a high-efficiency LED lighting system, consisting of three rows of three high-bay LED lights designed to deliver an average illuminance of over 300 lux. The lighting units were installed with switchable settings, allowing the client to adjust brightness levels as needed.
- Use of two scissor lifts to safely and efficiently complete the high-level electrical work.
