This past weekend marked a special moment for us here at Blaby Electrical & Alarms, as several members of our team took on the Wolf Run in support of the Leicester Hospitals Charity.
For one of our team members, Adam, this was more than just a challenge, it was personal. Adam had originally hoped to complete the Wolf Run for charity last year, but life had other plans. His mother’s cancer diagnosis meant he spent as much time with her as possible before her passing in July 2024.
In her memory, Adam took part in the Run Leicester 10k shortly after her passing, raising £350 for LOROS, the hospice that cared for her. That experience deeply changed his perspective on life, inspiring a stronger commitment to supporting the people and organisations that help others through life’s toughest times.
When Adam decided to run the Wolf Run this year for Leicester Hospitals Charity, especially to support Children’s Cancer Services, the response from our team was immediate. Several colleagues volunteered to join, reflecting the spirit of unity we’re so proud of at Blaby Electrical & Alarms. We work hard every day, but we also believe there’s more to life than just business. Supporting others, especially those facing the unimaginable is something we hold close to our hearts.
The Wolf Run itself was no easy feat, mud, obstacles, freezing water, and wild terrain. From climbing rope walls and crawling through thick mud, to swimming through lakes and helping each other over slippery slopes, it was a true test of grit and teamwork. But every ache and muddy step was worth it. Running together as a team.
To all the amazing carers, nurses, and support staff who make such a difference every single day, thank you. And to everyone who’s donated or supported us along the way, we’re incredibly grateful.
From all of us at Blaby Electrical & Alarms: this one was for you, and for everyone fighting battles most of us can’t imagine.
